This page describes the rules that govern a Funded Account — whether reached by passing a Standard or Pro Evaluation, or purchased directly as Instant Funded. Terms used here have the meaning given in our Terms & Conditions.
1. Funded Account rules at a glance
Trailing Maximum Drawdown -- All Funded Accounts: 10%, from a locked benchmark (see below) Minimum risk per Pick -- All Funded Accounts: none Maximum risk per Pick -- All Funded Accounts: 5% of your original starting balance Maximum Open Exposure -- All Funded Accounts: 25% of your original starting balance Daily Loss limit -- All Funded Accounts: none — this rule applies only during Evaluation Reward split (customer / StakeSteps) -- All Funded Accounts: 80% / 20% standard — or 100% / 0% if you purchased the 100% Reward Split add-on (see our Reward Policy) Minimum settled Picks before first Reward -- All Funded Accounts: none, except Instant Funded: 25
2. Risk per Pick and Open Exposure
There is no minimum stake for a single Pick. The maximum you may risk on a single Pick is 5% of your original starting balance. Your combined Open Exposure across every currently open Pick cannot exceed 25% of your original starting balance. A Pick that would exceed either limit is rejected automatically before it is placed.
These limits are the same for Funded Accounts as they are during Evaluation — there is no separate, wider allowance once you're Funded.
3. Trailing Maximum Drawdown
Your Funded Account has a trailing drawdown floor, initially set at 10% below your original starting balance, that rises as your settled balance reaches new highs.
Specifically: every time your account settles a new high-water mark (win, loss, push, void, or correction — never on open, unrealised Picks), your floor is recalculated as 10% below that new high-water mark. Once your high-water mark first reaches your original starting balance plus 10%, your floor freezes permanently at your original starting balance, and that high-water-mark figure becomes your "locked benchmark" — the floor never moves again after that point, regardless of further performance.
Worked example, for a $100,000 Funded Account: your floor starts at $90,000. Once your settled high-water mark reaches $104,000, your floor rises to $94,000. Once your settled high-water mark reaches $110,000 (your original $100,000 plus 10%), your floor freezes permanently at $100,000, and $110,000 becomes your locked benchmark.
If your account balance ever falls to or below your current floor, this is a Rule Breach and your account closes immediately.
4. No Daily Loss limit once Funded
Unlike during Evaluation, a Funded Account has no Daily Loss rule. Your risk is governed entirely by the trailing drawdown, the maximum risk per Pick, and the maximum Open Exposure rules described above.
5. Requesting a Reward
Once your account has a locked benchmark, you may request a Reward at any time — see our Reward Policy for the full eligibility criteria and how the amount is calculated. Instant Funded accounts must additionally settle at least 25 Picks before their first Reward Request.
If your Funded Account was reached by passing a Standard or Pro Challenge (not Instant Funded), successfully receiving your first qualifying Reward may also make you eligible for a refund of your original Challenge fee — see our Reward Policy and Refund Policy for the full eligibility criteria.
6. Rule Breach on a Funded Account
Crossing your trailing drawdown floor, or exceeding the maximum risk per Pick or maximum Open Exposure rule (which is prevented automatically at the point of placement, so should not occur in the ordinary course), closes your Funded Account immediately. Your other Challenge Accounts, if any, are not affected. You'll receive an email and an in-app notification confirming the breach.
7. Restarting after a breach
If your Funded Account experiences a Rule Breach, you may be able to purchase a restart at 50% of your original purchase price, provisioning a brand-new Challenge Account with its own fresh evaluation or funded status — see our Challenge Rules page.
8. Changes to these rules
We may change these Funded Account Rules for new purchases at any time. Changes to the rules already governing your Funded Account are made only in the limited circumstances, and following the process, described in section 9 of our Terms & Conditions.
